Celebrate the Holiday Season at CSL Simi Valley

CVIA Interfaith.jpg

Conejo Valley Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

California Luthern University is hosting this year's Conejo Valley Interfaith Service.  The 2024 theme, "Gathering in Peace and Unity" will feature the Muslim call to prayer, blowing of the Shofar honoring a Jewish tradition and a Baha'i Faith chant for peace.  You'll also be treated to the annual volunteer Interfaith Choir.  Plan to arrive no later than 6:45pm, the service will begin promptly at 7pm and should last about 90 minutes.

Come join us for a unique experience the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Be part of the movement to spread peace and support unity with our Interfaith Community by attending this year's pre-Turkey Day event.!

"Giving Thanks Together" is sponsored by the Simi Valley Interfaith Council.  We're grateful to this year's host, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church on Cochran Street.

Dress for the Season, Bring Your Voice

Darlene and Jon Bellis bring back their annual Holiday Sing-a-long event.  Don't know the words? Worry not, lyrics will be projected on the big screen for all to see.

Arrive early for cocoa, holiday treats and fellowship.

Don't forget, prizes given for fun and swanky holiday attire.  Oh by the way, early means 6:30 PM. â€‹

We have a very special treat for you on the 11th.  We're screening a the Hallmark movie, "Rescuing Christmas." Santa is played by Rev. Stephen's brother, T. Mychael Rambo.  He's flying in from... no, not the North Pole, but close - Minnesota.  He will stick around after the screening for a bit of Q & A about the film (and maybe share some interesting tidbits about Rev. Stephen).

CSL Simi's Highlight of the Season

Perhaps our most festive and touching event of the year, the CSL Simi Valley Candlelight Service is on the 18th at 7 PM.

There will be musical performances from some of our members and our special guest artists will be The Koles, Bill and Arlene.

We'll also sing together, share stories of inspiring moments and heartfelt memories from the year.  And we'll circle the sanctuary for the lighting of holiday candles.  This is a MUST BE THERE event.

Next Up: Friday, December 13th

Come join us for a unique experience at the Center for Spiritual Living Simi Valley. The evening, led by singer and vocal therapist, Florence Mercurio Riggs, is all about using your voice for healing and self-expression. No singing experience is required!

We'll come together and create beautiful sounds that resonate with our souls. You'll want to be a part of this opportunity to connect with others and yourself through the power of sound.
